How to create pdf from any format using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is part of allocation tools and web services developed by Adobe Inc. It helps the users to view, create, manipulate, print, sign, annotate and manage files in Portable Document Format (PDF). To convert any files type to PDF, Acrobat is adequately capable.  It can convert Microsoft Office documents, email, Web pages, Content copied on the clipboard, AutoCAD files, Adobe Photoshop, PostScript and EPS files, 3D files, etc.

First, select the “Create PDF” tool in the Tools Centre.

Convert PDF from Single file

By default, the “Single File” PDF creation option is selected. Click “Select a File.” Acrobat then launches the “Open” dialog box. Use it to navigate to find the file to convert into PDF.

When viewing the “Open” dialog box, Acrobat show all the file types user can convert into PDFs within it.  All the supported files can be seen by clicking “Check more formats”. Generally, list consists of Microsoft Office documents, email, Web pages, Content copied on the clipboard, AutoCAD files, Adobe Photoshop, PostScript and EPS files, 3D files, etc. Click “Create” button. It will direct to the location of the file and file is selected for it to be converted into PDF. It generally takes 20-40 seconds to covet the file. The converted PDF is opened the document tabbed view and file name would remain same as the original file.

Once the user intends to close the converted file, Acrobat prompts to save it as a new PDF. A user can opt to save or discard it. If the user intends to save it, Acrobat recommends the location of the newly converted PDF. Users can select the location or “choose a Different folder”. Or the user may cancel saving the file. These locations can be either folder in the computer or cloud.

Important steps to accomplish the task:

Select the “Create PDF” tool in the Tools Center.

Acrobat displays “Create PDF from any Format” and further lower default is shown as “Single file”

In the “Single file option”, user can choose “Select a File” or press Create button

Open dialog then diverts to the file which is to be converted to PDF.

Once file is found, select and click “Open”

Acrobat converts the selected file into a PDF and shows it in the document window.

Save the converted PDF at preferred location.
